Terms of Service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the CV-optimization digital service provided by CVPimp (cvpimp.hu, the "Service Provider"). The User expressly accepts these Terms at registration and, after they change, at the next login.
1. Service Provider details
Service Provider: [Egyéni vállalkozó neve], sole proprietor (trading as CVPimp) Registered address: [Székhely címe] Registration number: [Nyilvántartási szám] Tax number: [Adószám] Contact: [email protected], [Telefonszám] Website: cvpimp.hu
2. Subject of the service
Based on the CV uploaded by the User (in PDF or DOCX format) and the job posting text provided, the Service Provider produces an AI-optimized, ATS-compatible CV and a personalized cover letter. The service is delivered exclusively as digital content, with immediate access.
Using the service requires an internet connection and a modern, up-to-date web browser. No other software or device is needed, and the finished content is not copy-protected.
3. Registration and user account
Using the service requires registration, which is passwordless and uses a one-time verification code (OTP) sent by email. Registration grants the User 1 free credit for trial use.
The service may only be used by persons who are at least 18 years old. At registration, and at the next login after these Terms change, the User expressly declares being at least 18 years old and accepts these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Without this the service cannot be used. The Service Provider records the time of acceptance and the accepted version of the Terms with the account.
4. Credits and payment
The service runs on a credit-based, one-off purchase system with no hidden subscription fee. One credit entitles the User to one CV-optimization run (CV + cover letter). Credits have no expiry date and can be used until the account is deleted. Credit package pricing and contents are available in the pricing section of the website. Prices are gross, in HUF. Payment is made by card on the secure payment page of Barion Payment Zrt.; card details are handled by Barion only and the Service Provider has no access to them. Credits are added to the User's account once Barion confirms the payment. The Service Provider issues an electronic invoice for each purchase and emails it to the account's address.
5. Conclusion of the contract
The contract is concluded electronically. Its language is Hungarian or English: the language in which the User places the order.
The steps of an order:
- The User picks a credit package with the "Buy" button.
- The User enters billing details (name, address, and a tax number for a business purchase).
- The User accepts the Terms and the Privacy Policy, and makes a statement about the right of withdrawal with a separate checkbox (see the section on the right of withdrawal).
- The User places the order by clicking "Order with obligation to pay" and is redirected to the Barion payment page.
- The User pays the package price on the Barion page.
Correcting input errors: before placing the order, the User can change the details in the order window at any time, and fields filled in incorrectly are flagged. The order can be abandoned without payment with "Cancel", by closing the window or by leaving the Barion payment page; in that case no contract is concluded and the User is not charged.
The order is the User's offer. The contract is concluded when the Service Provider adds the credits after Barion confirms a successful payment. The Service Provider then confirms this without delay by email (on a durable medium) to the account's address. The confirmation contains the order details, the record of the statement on the right of withdrawal and the full text of these Terms. If payment is not completed within Barion's payment time limit, the order expires and no contract is concluded.
The concluded contract is filed: the Service Provider records the package, the price, the credits added, the time of the order and of the credit, the statement on the right of withdrawal and the version of the Terms at that time. The invoicing provider keeps the invoice for at least 8 years under accounting rules. The contract can later be accessed through the confirmation email and the invoice; a further copy can be requested at [email protected].
The Service Provider is not subject to any code of conduct.
6. Right of withdrawal for digital content
A User who is a consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason. To do so, send a clear statement to [email protected] (for example: "I withdraw from the contract for the credit package bought on [date] with the account [email address].").
Under section 29 (1) m) of Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses, the User may not withdraw once the Service Provider has begun supplying digital content on a non-tangible medium with the User's express prior consent, and the User has acknowledged that starting performance means losing the right of withdrawal. Performance begins when the purchased credits are added to the account.
The User gives this consent and acknowledgment before ordering, by ticking a separate checkbox above the order button that carries an obligation to pay. The Service Provider records the time of the statement and the version of the Terms with the order. The order cannot be placed without ticking it.
7. Warranty and conformity of the service
This section applies to a User who is a consumer. The Service Provider is responsible for the digital service conforming to the requirements of the contract and of the law, in particular Hungarian Government Decree 373/2021 on the warranty rules for goods, digital content and digital services sold under consumer contracts.
What the service consists of under the contract: producing an ATS-compatible CV and a personalized cover letter from the uploaded CV and job posting, and making them available to the User. The content is produced by artificial intelligence, so it may contain inaccuracies or wording that differs from what the User intended. This is a known characteristic of the service, which is why reviewing the finished document before submitting it is recommended. It does not remove the warranty rights: it is a defective performance, for example, if the document is not produced, cannot be used or downloaded, materially ignores the uploaded data, or is unreadable because of a technical fault.
No credit is deducted for a failed generation. If a generation completes but the automatic check finds an error in the result, it is delivered with a warning; the credit is not added back automatically in that case. If the User considers the result defective, they can report it at the address below; the Service Provider investigates the report and, for defective performance, adds the credit back. For defective performance the User can first ask for the defect to be put right (in practice, repeating the generation or adding the credit back). If that is not possible, does not happen within a reasonable time, or the defect is serious, the User can ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract. Within the legal time limits, the Service Provider is liable for defects for two years from performance (for a one-off supply). Report a defect at [email protected].
These Terms do not limit the rights the law gives a consumer. For a User who buys as a business, the general rules of the Civil Code apply.
8. Limitation of liability
- The Service Provider produces text content generated by artificial intelligence. Reviewing the finished document and approving it before publishing or submitting it is the User's task; the User is responsible for the submitted CV being truthful.
- The Service Provider does not guarantee a job interview or job offer; the service is intended solely to improve the CV's ATS compatibility and its fit with the job posting.
- The Service Provider is not liable for content uploaded by the User that is false or infringes the rights of a third party.
- These limitations do not affect the rights the law gives a consumer, including warranty rights.
9. Intellectual property
The generated CV and cover letter belong to the User and may be used without restriction. The website's interface, code and appearance are the intellectual property of the Service Provider.
10. Complaint handling
The User may report complaints regarding the service to [email protected] or by phone at [Telefonszám]. The Service Provider investigates each complaint and answers it in writing, on its merits, within 30 days of receipt at the latest, aiming for 15 days. A rejection states its reasons. Complaints and the answers are kept for 3 years.
If the complaint is not resolved, a User who is a consumer may turn to:
- a conciliation body: the one competent for their place of residence, or the one of the Service Provider's registered address ([A székhely szerinti békéltető testület neve], [A békéltető testület címe]). Contact details of all bodies: bekeltetes.hu;
- the consumer protection authority: the county government office of their place of residence;
- the courts, under the rules of civil procedure.
11. Governing law
Matters not regulated by these Terms are governed by Hungarian law, in particular Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code and Act CLV of 1997 on Consumer Protection.
